Thymosin Alpha-1 is a peptide made of 28 amino acids. It was first isolated from the thymus, an organ where immune cells mature. It occurs naturally as a fragment of a larger protein called prothymosin alpha. Research has measured how immune cells respond to it, including T cell development and the signals dendritic cells send.
