Repeatability and reproducibility in report comparisons

Repeated measurements under closely matched conditions and measurements across changed conditions address different questions. A spread among reports from different laboratories is not automatically a repeatability estimate.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Before assigning a statistical label, identify what varied: sample, method, instrument, operator or laboratory. A supplier archive may not contain the design information needed for a formal precision estimate. Describe the observed records without assigning an unsupported experiment design.
