Measurement uncertainty
Measurement uncertainty describes the dispersion associated with a measured quantity under a stated evaluation. It is not the same as an acceptance limit or the number of decimal places printed in a result.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Where uncertainty is supplied, retain its form and context. Where it is absent, avoid inventing an interval. Small differences between reported values may not support a meaningful ordering without comparable methods and uncertainty information.
