Three ways PDF text extraction can misread a result

Text extraction can separate a decimal point from a number, attach a value to the wrong table label, or drop a qualifier such as less than. Each error can turn a faithful-looking row into a different analytical claim.

Compare extracted values with the rendered source before release. Pay particular attention to repeated column headings and scanned pages. Preserve the original file link so a reader can inspect the same evidence.
