A modified peptide and its parent sequence

A modified peptide can share a parent sequence while differing in its full chemical identity. The parent sequence is useful context, but it is not a complete replacement for the modified structure.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

A comparison should name the modification and show which fields depend on it. Avoid importing the parent's formula, mass or evidence without checking applicability to the modified entity.
