Analytical reference materials
An analytical reference material supports measurement tasks through documented properties and intended use. A research catalog item should not be described as a certified reference material merely because it has a certificate of analysis.

Read the reference document for the assigned values, uncertainty, traceability and scope actually supplied. NIST distinguishes several reference-material categories; those distinctions should not be borrowed as quality labels for unrelated products.
