Peptide salts and counterions
A peptide salt includes counterions associated with the charged peptide. Counterions are not amino acid residues and should be documented separately from the sequence.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
The reported material mass can include components beyond the peptide itself. Do not convert a chromatographic purity percentage into peptide content without a method and a stated calculation basis that support that conversion.
What to retain in a research record
- Salt or counterion designation
- Basis of reported mass
- Whether counterion content was measured
