Exact mass and average mass
Exact mass is calculated for a specified isotopic composition. It differs from an average mass based on isotopic abundances, and it is not a synonym for an experimentally measured value.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
When two references give different numbers, first check the convention, isotopes, charge state and chemical form. Extra decimal places do not establish that two records describe different compounds.

- Isotopic composition
- Calculated or measured status
- Neutral entity or ion assignment
