Where terminal groups enter a peptide formula

Terminal groups contribute to a peptide's chemical description. A formula calculated for one terminal form should not be copied to another simply because the central residue sequence looks the same.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

A useful record states whether the form is defined and links to its source. If an online reference gives a formula without enough structural detail, flag the uncertainty before using it in a comparison table.
