A report copy and laboratory authentication

Opening a PDF on a supplier website establishes access to that copy. It does not independently authenticate the issuing laboratory or prove that every statement in the file is correct.

Where the laboratory offers an official verification route, use the information supplied on the report to check it. Keep that result separate from the fact that a PDF is downloadable. If no independent route is available, state that limitation rather than present a supplier-hosted file as independent verification.
