Writing a method summary without overclaiming

A method summary should identify what the method contributed to the report. An instrument name alone does not establish every endpoint that instrument can potentially measure.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Write from the document outward: result, method, supporting data and limitation. Avoid upgrading a brief method label into a detailed procedure that the report never supplies. Link the source so a reader can inspect the original scope.
